Photos are counted in groups of 25, so one item is 25 photos.

You do not need an exact count. Send what you have — we count everything on arrival and adjust the bill. Photos larger than 8.5 x 11 inches are oversized and counted 15 to an item, and scrapbooks are counted by the page at 15 pages to an item. Nothing here is a limit on what will fit in the box — send more than your kit covers and the extra items are simply added to your invoice.

Your Digitize Kit arrives as a crush-proof, water-resistant box with a Welcome Guide, a Customer Card and a free prepaid return label. Fill it with your photos, albums and envelopes included.
2 · We digitize it
We scan every photo on specialty equipment. Group your photos and label the groups and the digital files come back in those same groups.
3 · Enjoy it anywhere
Stream, share and download from the Cloud, or take a USB drive or a disc set. Every original photo comes back to you.

Every 25 photos counts as one item. Mix in slides, negatives, tapes, reels and discs if you like — one tape, reel or disc is one item.
Common questions
Every 25 photos is one item, so a 2 Item Kit covers up to 50 photos and a 40 Item Kit covers up to 1,000. You do not need an exact number — we count them when they arrive and adjust your bill.
No. We digitize photos of any shape and size. Anything up to 8.5 x 11 inches counts as standard; larger than that is oversized and counted 15 to an item rather than 25.
Either way works. Take the prints out yourself and there is nothing extra to pay. Leave them in and we will remove them for you for an added fee of $14.95 to $24.95 per album. If prints have started sticking to the plastic, leave those to us rather than risk tearing one.
By the page. Every 15 scrapbook pages counts as one item. Nothing has to come out of the book, so the album removal fee does not apply to scrapbooks.
Most photos are scanned at 300 DPI, which is excellent for viewing, sharing and reprinting at the original size. Larger or unusually shaped photos are scanned higher, and a specific DPI is available on request.
Often, yes. Eclipse AI Enhancement restores color, corrects fading and recovers detail. You get the untouched scan as well as the enhanced one.
Yes. Group your photos before you send them and label the groups, and the digital files come back in the same groups with the same labels.
