The audio tapes came out clear and good. Many of the slides were dark and not useable. I was disappointed in the high percentage of images I will have to throw away.

Yes it took a while but I loved seeing my family again that’s no longer with us.
I had several outdated CDs stored away in boxes I rarely opened. But at 80, started to downsize. Finding the no longer viable CDs, I researched to find out if there were any options to update them. I found The Digitize Center and sent my CDs to them for updating. The process was seamless and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Please don’t wait as long as I did to digitize outdated videos.
Updated 10/29/2026 Digitize Center reached out about my review and offered to correct the speed on the audio recording and adjust the video. They explained the conversion of video to digital had some nuances and recommended a company that can offer digital enhancement. I was also told that older audio recordings deteriorate and can result in poor quality. While this is understandable, my impression was that the whole purpose in digitizing tapes was to preserve memories with high quality equipment.
I was informed that the audio had been adjusted and was available via cloud storage for 30 days. When I checked on the new audio, I did not hear any difference between the first one and the second one. I appreciate the follow up on my service, however am still dissatisfied with the end product.
I was a bit disappointed that the audio and video tapes I sent for digitizing didn't include some enhancement. The video tape results are very dark and grainy. The audio has some sections where it was sped up, making it sound cartoonish. For the price, I expected better quality results. I appreciated the emails that provided the progress.
Quality of the recovered items is great. The Center handled my artifacts with great care and kept me updated along the way. Definitely recommend 10/10.
We sent in over 90 items from our parents house - everything from reel to reels to 8mm to vhs tapes and more. We received back an incredible historic journey of nearly 100 years of our family - all in an organized digital file. Seeing grandparents and great-grandparents and extended family that I didn’t know or that passed away decades ago was very emotional.
I could not believe the wonderful job they did on my tapes. Everyone of them was so clear. There was no jumping around or parts you couldn’t watch. I will definitely send more to them!
I sent a bunch of old reel to reel tapes and was very pleased with the quality of the conversion. I converted to the cloud which makes the files easily accessible.
I did take quite a long time to get them back but, in the end, it was worth the wait.
When we moved we came a cassette tape. Date September 18, 1976, of our WEDDING ‼️ Imagine That. Well since our 50th Anniversary is coming up, we had it converted to Thumb Drive. We received it last week, we just couldn’t wait till the 18th to hear it. There we were 50 years ago, we were so pleased to be able to hear our Wedding Again.
Great response to emails to give updates. They did their best to save the home videos that I had on VHS tapes that were molded and in storage for 30 years.
My kids that are now 40 greatly appreciate looking back at those memories.
It took quite a while to get the USB and the Beta tape back. A few weeks. The quality was lacking. The tracking as poor, and most of the video was double vision.
I had a 8 mm real real tape digitized and I’m very happy with that and then I had a cassette tape digitized and paid extra for clearing it up and I’m not 100% happy with that. I still have a lot of background noise where I can’t understand the wordage.
Needed 45 year old negatives digitized for a book being rereleased 45 years later. They did a great job!
Transferred DVD of Mom in a Rosie the River film to a plug-in drive. Helping to preserve family memories.. turned out great
The process took about 3 months, but without it, I never would have seen myself almost 70 years ago learning to walk and heard my 3.5 year old voice and that of my young parents. Got everything back that I sent.
