Pack it and send it back
Put your tapes and reels in the box and drop it off with the free prepaid return label that comes inside.
We digitize it
Every item is transferred at our own facility in Chicago, IL, on equipment matched to its format, by technicians who run these machines every day.
Files and originals come back
We invoice the per-item charges for what you actually sent, deliver your digital files, and return every original to you.

Common questions
The Digitize Kit itself — the box, the packing materials and shipping in both directions, including the free prepaid return label that comes inside it. Digitizing is billed per item on top of that.
Per item, not by kit size. Most professional video and audio formats are $50 per item. Reel-to-reel and 2" Quadruplex are priced on their own, and all of it is listed in the pricing above. The per-item charges are invoiced after your order arrives and we have confirmed what is in it.
Our standard kits are priced by how many items you send, because a VHS tape and a box of photos take a broadly similar amount of work. These formats do not: each one needs its own deck, its own setup and its own operator time, so each is priced on its own.
By the length of the reel, from $40 for five minutes or less up to $350 for two hours. The full tier list is in the pricing above. If a reel runs longer than two hours, contact us and we will quote it.
Send them anyway. We check the runtime when the reel arrives and bill the tier it falls into — the same way we count items on arrival for every other order.
Yes. Put everything in the one box. Each item is priced by its own format, so a Betacam, a DAT and a 2" reel in the same shipment are simply three separate lines on your invoice.
Your Digitize Kit includes a Customer Card. That is where you tell us which output you want your digitized files delivered on, and it goes back in the box with your tapes. Outputs carry a separate fee, billed alongside the per-item digitizing charges above.
Professional formats vary far more than consumer tapes, so we confirm a timeline with you once we have seen the order rather than quoting a figure that may not fit what you sent.
