I have used other digitizing services (Photos, slides, VHS tapes, 8mm film) before in the past and I have to say that my experience with 'The Digitize Center' was fantastic! The price was fair but most importantly, the product that was produced was exceptional in quality. The digital copies were sharp and the colors were bright & vivid. I liked the way they gave me constant updates on the status of my order too! Great job!
Super easy process, Great videos, very long processing delays
Although the pre-ordering information was clear about the length of the process, I was still surprised just how long it took. But, I was really stunned by the clarity achieved by the techs in converting my 60 year old reel-to-reel audio tape to an MP3 digital file - really incredible!
Although it seems to have taken a loot of time, I was disappointed they didn't clean the slides before converting them to pictures. If that is their practice they should have instructed the buyer to clean them. I didn't find that information on the website but then I didn't look as quite frankly I figured that would have been the procedure.
My cassettes usually start with several seconds of silence, followed by a click as I turned another machine, and then several more seconds of silence before the beginning of the lectures. I did that so I wouldn't miss the initial sentences of the lectures. That opening silence and click are missing. Your MP3s start with some unintelligible fragments of a voice and then some high pitched sounds like the ones a tape makes when it is fast forwarded. Then the lectures start without the opening sentences, so it is difficult to figure out what the lecture is about. I think there is distortion of the sound, and the fourth lecture came out with sudden drops to being difficult to hear. The volume of the whole 4th lecture is too soft. I am very disappointed in how these MP3s sound. The lecturer's voice is recognizable. I expected copies with the whole opening silence and click and then the introductory sentences of the lecture. You apparently edited them out. The MP3s are not satisfactory.
The service was wonderful. the only problem was that it took longer than expected to get my thumb drive.
We sent over 40 VHS tapes in mid-December and our order was confirmed. Then we waited. And waited. We did receive two communications that our order was being processed, but then nothing for two months. We did finally receive our order and the return of our tapes, and what we got looks good.
The cloud backup is disappointing— on the USB drives we ordered, each tape is in a separate file for easy use. On the cloud, it’s one big file, so it’s pretty hard to use.
We’re glad we preserved our family memories, but the process took so long and the communication was so sparse, we were beginning to think the company had gone under!
Everything was completed as expected except for the wait. Final delivery was above the high-end of the provided timeline.
They did a great job with all our old 8mm reels as well as a VHS and DVD we sent! I highly recommend this company!
I was disappointed in the time it took to have my one short video tape copied into digital content (over 3 months), despite repeated emails promising fast service and imminent delivery. I was also disappointed in the poor quality of the finished product. I realize that video tape degrades over time but I'd have thought it could be enhanced and certainly lightened up.
My wedding tape was 30 years old. And the faces were so blurry. You fixed those and I am so pleased. I was worried the memory was lost. So now it’s on a usb

It took 3 weeks longer than promised. First set on dvd did not work. But they did replace them with a new set.
Havent looked at all over them yet i found 19-20 dvd is missing #19 on it so I need that one, also will be sending more as i do.likehow they turned out.
This process took a long time, but it was WORTH the wait. I got to see videos that I never would have seen otherwise. I can't believe I get to keep this flash drive for the rest of my life and take these videos where ever I please. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

After some initial playback challenges, customer service stepped up and won me over! I’ll be sending more video to transfer. I now have a link so I can view what I sent in. I was looking at it with pleasure. Life from many years ago saved and viewable. It’s worth a lot to me!

I was hoping for more clearer product by getting it digitalised. But just a little more than what I sent to them.even though it took 3 months to get back
It was worth the wait to get back my father's super 8 films digitized. The price was right and I found it less expensive than other services and the quality is wonderful. Shipping back and forth was seamless.
