Second time I’ve used to company and am very pleased with the video results!!
We had a friend record our wedding in 1999, and realized that as the videotape would degrade, asked The Digitize Center to convert to DVD and allow us to download it. They did great! I hope someday they would be able to set up a menu of options, like different scenes and when AI gets better, have viewers select a person, and then see all snippets of scenes with that person (maybe 10 seconds before and after, to understand the situation). Also, if they could use tools to upgrade the low resolution to 720P. We would pay thousands for that. However, it still looked GREAT!. Turnaround time was a couple months, but we had no rush.I recommend contacting them if you want a rush order.
Transfer to DVD was super. However, turnaround time was extremely slowly. Must be a one-person operation.
It took a while but the transfers were acceptable, with some post software tweaking, the footage looked pretty good. I believe that the timeline extended in excess of 3 months. Well worth the wait as I hadn’t seen the regular 8mm, film of my brother in 1962, for over 30 years.
The other 8mm, my ice skating on Lake Candlewood in Connecticut in 1971, looked good. Other 8mm transfers were super 8, some college projects in the 80’s looked good.
Finally, a rough cut of a 16mm student project was fun to revisit. The flash drive worked out well. This is my first time using this company and my experience was a good one. I recommend them!
It was easy to do and the results are great! My only complaint is how long it took to get my videos back. After seeing them, it was worth the wait. So happy! In fact, I am preparing another box to send.
I mailed my VHS Tape in late February to be digitized to a DVD. I put it in a Legacy Box, and filled in the included form. I received a notification that May that my digitizing was still in progress. At the end of June, I called Legacy Box to talk to a person about the progress of my order, it had been 5 months now. I explained that I filled out the paper in the box with all of my information. Legacy explained that by filling out the form in the box, I allowed them to sell my order to a third party company, in this case, The Digitize Center. Shortly thereafter, the Digitize Center contacted me to let me know my order was safe, and I would be receiving notification when it shipped. Though it took a long time, Digitize Center kept me informed and reassured until my order finally shipped at the end of July. I was so worried that I had lost my memories for good. The video was not spectacular and wouldn't mean much to anyone else, but it was recorded 32 years ago, and held memories very dear to me. Some of the people in it aren't even with us anymore. I am so grateful to The Digitize Center for locating my lost order, keeping it safe, and making sure I got the best DVD quality possible from a 32 year old VHS tape. I would highly recommend The Digitize Center to reproduce your memories and keep them safe. The Digitize Center kept me notified and reassured throughout the entire process. It took eight months from start to finish, but watching the events on that video was well worth the wait! Thank you Digitize Center for finding my order and taking such good care to make sure it was returned to me safely.
Warmest regards...
I had sport videos that were sent to be processed. They did not recopy some tv shows that got on the used tapes. I appreciated that. There were some tapes that had tracking issued that occurred during processing. I reached out to see if they would recopy them. Haven't heard back.
I sent in about 10 old tapes ranging in age from the 1960's to the 1990's and they turned out very well. If I happen to find more, then I will certainly send them in.
They immediately offered me a refund for my expedited service payment without me requesting it, and then completed the 10 VHS tapes in a very short time. Highly recommended.
I had submitted several old reel to reel tapes, and they were perfectly digitized.
THis company does update you on the status of your order through emails, and
it did take about 3 months, so you just have to have patience! I will probably be sending them some old cassette tapes in the very near future!
Quality okay but would like a more expedient and quick return of my order. Will give you another chance soon!

Digitize Center translated ten 8mm tapes and 100 old 35mm slides for a projector into perfect digital images and videos. Took a little longer to get to my order, but once they started working on it I had the results in under 4 weeks.
I had 40 year old 120 size official negatives of me in the USN. Thank you for creating actual photos & putting them on a thumb drive. You kept me up to date frequently as the processing took place. Highly recommend you for any photo needs.
The Digitize Center converted my 35-year-old audiocassette and my videocassette containing precious family memories into USBs that I can share with my siblings. My father passed away 32 years ago, so watching this long-lost video was the first time I've heard his voice since then. And the audiocassette of my then 95-year-old great-aunt recounting the family history of my Swedish great-grandparents immigrating to the US in the 1880s is priceless. The quality of both these digitized versions was stellar! The time it took to reproduce these was well worth it. Thank you!
Everything I sent came back digitized with excellent quality. It did take almost 5 months to receive the finished product.
I'm so happy with the digitization on my dad's audio reel-to-reel tapes from the 1970's. Amazing work on these old artifacts!
We sent in two reels for processing. They did a nice job on the processing and the quality was great for the age of the film but the wait time was way beyond what was shown in the FAQ which states 4 to 10 weeks. They received my reels on February 5th of this year and I finally got them back on July 6th for. They need to be more forthcoming on processing time. If you are in a hurry to receive your media back, you really need to pay for expedited processing.
It took about 5 months to get the digitized media. I was told that since I only had 8 items they would charge me for a two item box and then give me a discounted item rate for the remainder. They charged me for a full 10 item box. I tried to call over and over and the customer service message said there were no agents available. I also emailled them a number of times with no response. Finally someone did contact me, but said he couldn't help with the billing issue. I ended up paying the full price they invoiced me for because I wanted my original and digitized media and didn't see any other options.
